“Together – We Make A Difference”

 

          Our children do not come with a set of directions.  We as parents do the best we can with the knowledge we have available.  Often, no matter how hard we try our children make mistakes that can result in consequences that can be very serious.

          How can we as parents network together to help our children avoid negative situations?  Our youth have peer support groups.  What about us as parents?  Can we develop a communication network with other parents?

The answer is YES!

          Family always has been and still is the single most important institution in our society.

Reasons for the Raider Network

1.  Parenting is more complex
     today.
2.  Family Structure is changing.
3.  Family time is reduced.
4.  Multiple values exist.
5.  Adolescents need role models.
6.  Media messages are confusing.
7.  Drugs are readily available.
8.  Violence/Gang activity is  
     increasing.
9.  Decision making starts earlier.

Purpose of the Raider Network

2.  Provide an opportunity to
    explore many parenting issues.
3.  Provide support.

 

Our Mission

The mission of the Raider Network is to unite all adults in the community to enhance the communication among families, youth, and school personnel to promote healthy activities and high standards for our young people.
